I created the Artana Program as a way to give my students the confidence to develop their own yoga practice outside the classroom. My goal as a teacher is to give people the tools to find their own path to a state of yoga. This workshop combines knowledge and technique with validation and inspiration to provide a way to create a unique self-guided yoga practice.
Week 1
Breathing techniques It all begins with breath. Here we learn the fundamental importance of breath and connect with the movement of breath in the body, exploring different types of breath that have different affects on us with an emphasis on what resonates within as a valuable tool for our own practice.
Week 2
Meditation techniques You’ll be so glad to learn that meditation isn’t always about sitting still and trying your best to think about nothing! Here we explore different approaches to meditation and different techniques for sustaining a meditative state using all of the senses, again with an emphasis on recognizing what resonates within as a tool for our own practice.
Week 3
Chakras Here we learn and explore the chakras as energetic centers in the body that are valuable indicators of our emotional, mental, and physical states. We begin to deepen our awareness of the movement of energy through and between the charkas. You can activate your chakras and bring them into balance using meditation and asana practice. |
